This Sunday, I had the privilege of being invited to Frenzy Presents hosted by HC Frenzy over at Harper Collins Canada in downtown Toronto. Frenzy Presents is an awesome book blogger event where booknerds can connect and network, swap business cards and twitter handles. The team at HC presented the Fall/Winter YA releases and let me just say…they look amazing!
Hey everyone! I am so happy that summer has arrived and I can sit back and relax! That also means getting my read on and trying to tackle my endless stack of unread books! Here is my end of June slash July to be read list. There may be some modifications to the list if I read faster than I think I can – haha…I hope to add more! 1. The Kiss Of Deception by […]
Volition | Lily Paradis Tate Mackenna is like a woman’s purse, pretty on the outside – but on the inside she’s a total disaster. To be perfectly honest I wouldn’t blame her. Surviving a tragic accident without her parents and having to live with a witch of a grandmother in Charleston, she is almost at the point of becoming completely broken (if that even makes sense). Contrary to popular belief, being a Book Nerd and Book Hipster isn’t as easy as it seems! There are soooo many problems that we encounter on the daily and we’re just introverted people who try not to complain about our problems. We fix them ourselves. Some lining up for a wrist band as early as 11:00am. The author discussion was scheduled to begin at 7pm but that didn’t stop fangirls of the two trilogies (Divergent and Shatter me) from gathering to save a spot and make new friends. Well…I made new friends. The excitement brought us bloggers […]
YA Book-to-movie adaptations are becoming less and less rare as they become more popular. Remember when there was only twilight and The Hunger Games? Well, now it seems every ‘New York Times Best selling’ book involving a fan base is optioned for a movie. I’m not complaining, I love seeing my favourite books turned into a movie. What I dislike, however, is seeing adaptations being butchered by reviewers saying ‘just another hunger games unoriginal’. […]
